Iliza Shlesinger is a goddess of comedy, there's no denying that. What she also brings to the pop culture fold is the thought that maybe Reality TV does have a point after all. Maybe. I said maybe.While shows such as Survivor or Big Brother are exercises in boredom for much of the time, with increasingly annoying contestants doing increasing annoying things, Last Comic Standing has a ton of entertainment value.
The concept, gathering 12 great new comics and having them live together and perform in front of LA audiences, is probably the only decent thing reality TV has thrown at audiences in years. Harkening back to the glory days of shows such as Opportunity Knocks, the format actually finds new talent instead of just new morons to mock.
Big shout out to Iliza for being so funny and talented. yes, she is gorgeous too, but that isn’t in the least bit funny. Thankfully her material is.
